Description
This standard covers sodium silicate used in the preparation of activated silica for the treatment of municipal and industrial water supplies for the control of corrosion and stabilization of iron and manganese in water systems. The standard covers materials, sampling, packaging, shipping, marking, testing and inspection.
This addendum to ANSI/AWWA B404-92 Standard for Liquid Sodium Silicate revises or replaces Page vi, Sec. IV; Page vii, Sec. V; and Page 2, Sec. 2.3.
